Research FundIn 1988 a research fund was started which is funded by donations which is used to help those who are researching into Mesembs. Since this date more than £8,000 in grants have been distributed.Due to the generosity of many of our members we are again able to invite applications for grants from the MSG Research Fund. These will be made to assist specific projects which are aimed at increasing our knowledge of any aspects of plants of the family Mesembryanthemaceae. It is expected that such work would be original and would be botanical or horticultural in nature. A condition of an award is that the results will be written up within 12 months of completion in a form suitable for publication in the MSG Bulletin. Applications for the coming year should be submitted by the 31st March in the form of a description of the proposed project, including information on the likely expenditure. This should not normally be more than a single side of A4 paper in length. It should be accompanied by a resumé of the applicant's experience in the study of mesembs. It will be considered by two referees who will make a recommendation to the MSG organising committee. Please send your application to:
